What are scrapbooking die cuts and how do they work?

A die cut is a ready-made, carved or cut from paper or thick cardboard image with the help of a special press with a knife attached to it. Readymade die cuts are used to embellish scrapbooking projects: scrapbook albums and notebooks, planners, greeting cards, envelopes, gift boxes.
