Hello Crafty Friends...
Welcome to FD blog with me Kirti From Singapore. I am so glad to be with you all again today to share my another inspiration for Fabrika Decoru!
MY INSPIRATIONBelieve - is such a magical word... If we believe, we possess the power to transform the world around us. And this word became my inspiration to try this mixed media style diary cover with FD products.
With so may amazing FD mixed media supplies in my hand, I went ahead to create this Mixed media style. For this type Of mixed media creation The right amount of depth & highlights with proper color palette plays an important role. I must tell you that, the amazing metallic colors and rustic paints have helped me play to play around beautifully to get the this correct balance. Black gesso by FD provided right priming even on glass pebbles and texture paste was very effective in creating subtle texture with stencils & spatula.
DETAILED PICTURES Please have a look at detailed pictures, so you Can see the magical effect, that I have been able to achieve here. The right amount of pigmentation of metallic paints, The perfect matte finish of rustic paints to be able to highlight on the top of metallic is just the right thing I wanted in my project.
STEPWISE TUTORIAL
I am also writing the stepwise tutorial for you all here along with my thoughts as to why I feel to do it that way.
- Then I have used Black gesso by FD to cover up all of my composition.
- Now here is one thing to understand, Why I used black gesso and not the white gesso- I am gonna play with metallic colors here, and so I want right balance of depths and highlights, so have a black surface in the background, will take care of my depths effect already 😊
- And now the final and important step, the color play, I have used metallic paints, Rustic paints & airy mousse from FD and played with palette of Blue-Bronze-Gold to achieve the result I wanted.
