Hello everyone!
Today I, Katia Suprun, want to show you a variant of decorating a napkin holder from a blank by TM Fabrika Decoru. The size of the finished product is 24 by 13 by 9 cm. The parts are easily assembled using some glue and following detailed instructions. Just 1-2-3-4 and the napkin holder is ready to be changed! In the video you will find step by step instructions.
I decorate my napkin holder with shabby velours and chalk pastes. To begin with, I cover the blank with Deco acrylic paint of "Jasmine" + "Delicate Beige" colors. After the paint dries out, I create a background using three shades of shabby velor - "Cocoa", "Khaki", "Jasmine". I combine these three harmonious shades, but do not mix them, but simply "stretch" them over the surface of the napkin holder. It is convenient to do this with a plastic card.
Apply the chalk paste through the Peach color stencil to the side panel. When planning work, keep in mind that shabby velour becomes a little darker after drying, and chalk pastes become lighter.
On the upper part we apply a pattern of palm leaves with an Avocado paste, but we do not stop there. We mix pastes of two shades in a bag, cut off a corner, as in a confectionery bag and “enliven” the leaves with additional volume. Here you can give free rein to your imagination and "finish" the composition with paste.
After all the elements have dried, we go through the sharp details with sandpaper and cover the entire napkin holder with matte varnish.
Happy crafting to you!
