Hello everybody, Inge van den Broek is here with you today.
Today I am going to show you an art board gear with a romantic twist. Its a little steampunk gear with roses and leaves.
I started to use a stencil and texture paste for the gear to make some 3D effect.
After that I painted it with black gesso and highlighted it with with gesso. Next, I used dry magic paint . I used different colours of dry magic paint like turquouse, olive and sienna natural. I put them on the gear in a random order and used water to let the colours smoothly mix with each other.
After that I repeated the procedure again.. I did this to get a better colour pallette. I showed you that before in my first blog.
When that was done I used gold metallic paint to highlight different parts of the gear. I tought it was a little bit too much gold so I highlighted it with some copper paint too.
Then I put on the decorative ellements on the gear. I used 3D gel because that's strong enough to hold the elements on its place. When it was all dried out I painted it all with copper metallic paint. I thought the colours on the gear and the copper mix very well together. This is what I look for in a steampunk project.
To finish the project, I took some black gesso and some gold metallic paint to highlight the elements on the gear. That's the finishing touch and now it's really steampunky
Thank you for your attention.
Happy crafting to you!
