Let's see what Yuliya tells about her inspiration: "Today I would like to share a tutorial on creating a magic box in the shape of a hexagon. In fact, such box can be used as a photo box or an Advent calendar (you can put mini boxes with tasks inside, etc.). Unfortunately, I do not have a plotter, but it is quite possible to make a box with a ruler, compass and a pencil ... and remembering some the geometry from school years.
So, let's begin. First, I drew the templates that I worked on in the next stages. Having a template will significantly speed up the process of work and it is more unlikely that you (or I) will mess it up somewhere in the process. To make a template, it is better to take a paper square sheet, it will be easier to navigate.
What size of the circle should you draw? The circle radius equals the length of a side of a regular hexagon. That is, if I need the side of the hexagon to be 8 cm (half of the photo 10x15 cm), the radius is 8 cm, respectively. As a result, the diameter of the large box is 16 centimeters.
The lid of the box is decorated with a large shaker, inside which I hid a "snowy" house. I used deco-topping artificial snow as dressing and Round rosettes mini sequins.
I used Winter botanical diary scrapbooking paper collection to decorate my magic box.
