Hello everyone!
Julia Stativa is with you!
Today i am going to show you how to easily create an aged effect on any item! You can decorate a vase like this or a flower pot. In my case, it was a glass bottle from rapeseed oil.
At the bottom of the page you will find a video tutorial of the process.
To age a bottle, I took chalk paints. They stick the surface in a very unusual and interesting way, just creating an uneven surface, as if this object has already been repainted many times and a lot of time has gone. Of course, if desired, you can make the surface smoother.
Also, the advantage of chalk paints is that they can be layered and show one color under another. My bottle is glass, but as a result, the bottom layer has a brown tint, as if the bottle is made of clay.
It is very important to prime the surface so that the paint adheres well to the surface. Glass is an extremelu smooth material.
I wanted to create a 3D pattern so that it stands out well on the surface. The modeling paste by Fabrika Decoru helped me to achieve this effect. This modelling paste gives perfect volume. It is easy to apply (even with a brush). It does not spread, does not decrease after drying.
I would also like to share with you a little secret. It is a candle. Plain wax. In advance, I rubbed with the candle the places where the paint will be erased.
Let's watch a video tutorial where I am sharing all secrets.
